Professional school counselors in Denver Public Schools support student achievement through the use of a comprehensive, developmental guidance program. This program is based on student learning standards in the academic domain, career and college domain, and personal and social domain. Professional school counselors, who have both masters degrees and CDE licenses specific to school counseling, ensure that all students meet these standards, as well as work with subgroups of students who demonstrate the need for more support.
